Composition as the organisation of attention, force, power and values. A practicum combining real-time creation with the exploration of existing forms and the relationships they produce in dance, art and life.
Composition shapes what becomes noticeable, who occupies the centre, how force is distributed and what relationships emerge between participants. It is both an artistic tool and a way of reading how a situation is organised.
We work in two directions: composing from what is happening here and now, and exploring historically and culturally established forms. Through movement, observation and group tasks, we examine attention in time and space, the distribution of force and power, and the values proposed by a form.
The central skill is moving between the present situation and an existing repertoire of compositional forms. For dancers, actors, directors, educators and people working with groups.
