A performance about how people collectively sustain a fiction to survive within a catastrophe

Four actresses offer the audience ways to keep feasting in circumstances that hardly lend themselves to it: turning away, laughing even when nothing is funny, dancing against the backdrop of an approaching tsunami. Through text, movement, play and shared actions, FEAST explores how people collectively sustain a fiction that helps them survive within a catastrophe. Reality does not disappear, but recedes into the background. Ignoring it gradually becomes a new reality.

The performance brings together drama theatre, performance art and participatory practices. Each audience member chooses their own level of involvement and can join in, observe or decline to participate.
